WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE 2016

Hello everyone!
This is my second year joining Karen at My Desert Cottage for her link party Where Bloggers Create.
Thank you to Karen for hosting this wonderful event!

I have to tell you I waited thirty years to have a working space of my own. For over 23 years my husband served in the military and our continued moving from one end of the world to the other, made it impossible to make my
dream come true.
Until he retired and we built this home.

This was a huge project, but so worth it! :)
This room used to be our son's bedroom and many changes happened to make it the space it is today.
It was a looong project, since we built everything ourselves, cabinets, counters, shelves, even the wood brackets.
Everything is homemade.

And it was a happy day when it was all finished and ready to make it my own. :)

I even had enough space to have a small sitting area.

Last year I built a small extension to the room.
I used the closet to add more work space and storage.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my craft/sewing space.
You will find me many afternoons in this room sewing, painting or working on crafts.
I just love, love, love having a space of my own. :)

Thank you again to Karen for hosting such a wonderful and fun party and to all of you for stopping by for a visit.
Until next time!

  20. It's obvious I'm running late to the party, but I am so glad to be here now. I couldn’t miss this opportunity to see your incredible studio. I was really impressed that you and hubby made it all yourselves. Of course, when you do that, you get exactly what you want. And knowing what you want and what works must have been on your mind through all those moves you made over the years. I adore the colorful and cheery room, and the new addition is awesome, too. It didn't take much to convince me how happy you are in this beautiful crafting space. There's so much to see here, I may take a few more minutes to check everything out.

Welcome to the party and thanks for sharing this beauty for the first, but hopefully NOT the last, time.
